Community

Community is a vital and integral part of ARC Family Resource Centre. We aim to promote strong communities throughout our catchment area through various initiatives, outreach, events and courses.

Together we can achieve a lot to develop and improve our community.

Raheen Defibrillator

We have just recently updated and reinstalled our AED (Automated external defibrillator) and we would like EVERYONE in the community to be aware of this vital piece of life saving equipment. An AED can save the lives of people who are in cardiac arrest and is an extremely important community resource.

The device is located on the outside wall of A Place to Grow Childcare services, next to the Raheen Community Hall. This is a collaborative initiative between ARC Family Resource Centre and Raheen Parish Committee who are responsible for the accessibility and maintenance of this device.

The code for the defibrillator is available from ARC Family Resource, A Place to Grow Raheen, Day Centre services, and from the ambulance service.

Defibrillator Location: on A Place to Grow Childcare Raheen next to Raheen Community Hall.

Community Garden

ARC Family Resource Centre have established three community gardens in Clonroche, Adamstown, and Raheen.

Our community gardens provide opportunities for the entire community to participate in growing, harvesting and learning about produce through our knowledgeable tutor, along with fostering community connections.

New Volunteers are always welcome to to join. Call us on 051 442888 today for more info.
